Greg Acuna has an unusual combination of business and creative experience writing, directing and producing mediaprojects, managing complex ventures for major companies and is a serial entrepreneur. He has a degree in political science from University of Southern California and a Masters degree in playwriting from San Francisco State University. He has written/directed one feature film, co-written two other produced features, been a script doctor on several projects, directed an animation/ live-action TV pilot as well as plays for the theatre. Other accomplishments include several productions of his plays, poetry published in four countries, composing songs, directing music videos and writing two novels. He has taught screenwriting at the university level, written articles for animation magazines and judged film festivals including “Chitrakatha” at India’s prestigious National Institute of Design. He has also been a consultant for Paramount Pictures, Exchange Cubed, Arthur Anderson, CNA and others. In business he specializes in assisting companies with strategy including putting difficult IT projects back on track.
Greg is originally from Los Angeles, but has lived in Goa for over 16 years. His company Earthlings Infotech is creating “Zarbul” a cooperative educational gaming platform to empower children to change the world. They have also developed the “Acting Kindly” app/game and will soon be releasing a printed card game version called “Acting Kindly in School.
Anand S P
Anand started his career as a research scholar and is currently, Associate Professor, leading the research group pursuing gravity and magnetic studies at Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, Mumbai. He received M. Sc. (Tech.) degree in Marine Geophysics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala and Ph. D. from University of Mumbai. Post Ph.D., association with airborne geophysical company in Canada exposed him to the new innovative techniques and processing methodology in the field of airborne magnetic and radiometric surveying. Research interest of Dr.Anand includes studying the magnetic & gravity signatures of the lithosphere for exploration, hazard and geodynamics through a combination of satellite, aero, ground & marine magnetic and gravity data. His thesis formed the basis for the generation of (for the first time) a crustal magnetic anomaly map of India and its contiguous areas. Dr.Anand was one among the two participants from India selected by Kyoto University to attend the International Summer School KAGI 21(Kyoto University Active Geosphere Investigation) held in Indonesia. He has been invited by various organizations to provide lectures / training programs in the processing and interpretation of magnetic anomalies for structural mapping and resource evaluation. He is member of various national and international bodies and has several publications in peer reviewed journals in addition to being reviewer of several national and international journals.
TR Ananthnarayan has spent several years involved in the study and practice of the various aspects of Indoor Free Flight Aero-modelling. He provides consultancy to plan strategies and execute workshops/events in the various categories of indoor free flight aero-modelling around India and abroad. He also conducts training for instructors who can then go on to conduct workshops in their respective regions, in order to create a larger pool of indoor free flight aero-modellers.
She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 2005 from University of Hyderabad. She worked at Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, Hyderabad, India, and later continued her postdoctoral studies at the Laboratory of Transcriptional Biology on mechanisms of Rho-dependent termination in E.coli. She worked briefly at Molecular Cardiology Unit, Lerner Research Institute, The Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, USA on role of integrins in prostate cancer metastasis.
She is the recipient of Young Scientist Award 2005 from the Indian National Science Academy, BioAsia Innovation Award 2008 from Bio Asia – The Global Bio Business Forum and Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award 2011 from Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India.
Currently as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences, she primarily teaches Immunology and Enzymology along with various topics on Infectious diseases.

Manish Jain graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (1993) with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He also finished a few courses at Stanford. He currently works at the IUCAA Science Center in Pune making short films on interesting research, designing toys and activities, conducting workshops and teacher training, and making popular science films. Prior to IUCAA, he worked in the area of chip design for 19 years at Synopsys in Bangalore and Mountain View, California. Most recently he was a Director R&D leading the Low Power Simulation efforts. Manish has always had a passion for science and in 2013 he decided to spend all his energies to bring back the gleam in the eyes, to make learning joyous. Manish spends a lot of time these days looking at the science behind the simple toys in the videos and is passionate about sharing the magic with people.
He is very interested in making esoteric science/research pedantic so that it can reach general populace

Rama Jayasundar is one of the most erudite, articulate and widely travelled ambassadors of ayurveda today. She acquired her PhD in NMR (Physics) from Cambridge University, UK, in 1990 and has been on the faculty of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) since 1993. Between 2002 and 2008, she took 5½ years leave from AIIMS to pursue a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree from Chennai. Her area of specialization is Biomedical NMR – Radio-frequency (RF) coil designing and building, RF pulse sequence programming, clinical imaging and spectroscopy, Neuroscience applications of MR. She has wide experience in both experimental and clinical MRI and spectroscopy. She developed indigenously, a low cost RF transmitter / receiver coil for clinical use, for which she received the Young Scientist Award. During her stint as a visiting Professor at the Max Planck Institute of Biophysical Chemistry, Gottingen, Germany, she worked on functional MRS techniques. She has a number of research publications, awards and honours to her credit. Using her vantage position as a physicist and an ayurvedic physician, she is currently involved in scientific research in ayurveda, its concepts, methods, pharmacology and clinical practices using NMR, MRI and a number of analytical techniques. She is also actively engaged in dissemination of knowledge of the science behind ayurveda.
Nandan Kudhyadi has more than sixty-five documentaries to his credit on varied subjects. Several of them have won top national awards, and have been screened at various international film festivals like Cinema du Reel, Tokyo, Brussels, Vancouver, Pusan, Hawaii, Karlovy Vary and others.
His much talked about film RASAYATRA has won the Golden Lotus National Award for the Best Non-feature Film of the year 1995, for ‘its sensitive and imaginative transposition of music, into a dignified cinematic expression’. It also won the Jury’s Special Mention at the Brussels festival. It was chosen for the NHK Asian Film Festival at Tokyo, as also for the INDOMANIA Festival at Paris. It has traveled all over the world as part of the NETPAC Asian Discovery Selection -1996.
Nandan Kudhyadi graduated in Fine Arts before specializing in film direction at the famous Film & Television Institute of India at Pune. He has worked with celebrated international filmmakers like Michelangelo Antonioni and Krzysztof Zanussi, apart from Mani Kaul and Ketan Mehta.

Arvind C. Ranade
Arvind C. Ranade is a scientist working for Astronomy and Space Science Communication and Popularization in Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. He did his Ph D in Astronomical Spectroscopy from Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune. He has contributed through research papers and research reports. He is actively involved in writing popular articles and scientific columns in print media and also contributes as a subject expert in various electronic media. He is involved in the publications and production of audio and video programme on astronomy in Vigyan Prasar. He has conducted more than 150 workshops and conferences on astronomy and space sciences including telescope making at national and regional level. He has been honoured with Lilabai Pitkar Award for the first rank in the Department of Space Sciences of University of Pune in year 2000. He has been awarded with “Aacharya Shree” by Vipin Joshi Foundation of Itarsi, Madhya Pradesh in September 2013. He represented India in the International Conferences in Poland, Columbia and Qatar. He was the coordinator of First National Science Film Festival and Competition conducted by Vigyan Prasar. He was the coordinator of Largest Practical Science Lesson Event of breaking Guinness Book of World Record by conducting Chemistry Practical by 2,000 students during India International Science Festival in 2015. Everyone cannot visit planetarium and experience the amaze of night sky. So Prajwal Rao thought to build something innovative and affordable. Prajwal Rao is pursuing Masters in physics at Manasagangothri university of Mysore. Innovative mind of Prajwal thought to build a planetarium which is transportable and affordable to all the local schools and colleges. And he started working on his idea. Every great success comes with a failure. His first model did not work but stubborn minded Prajwal did not give up and he built a portable planetarium in the year 2014-15. After building the conveyable planetarium Prajwal decided to visit the schools and colleges in Mysore for presentation on Solar system and gave session about the planetarium. Prajwal not only gave the presentation but through his sessions he cleared all the small doubts of students. Till now Prajwal has reached more than 2000 students. He explored his sessions to all the nearby places of Mysore. In the presentation, he shows the night view of sky and what exactly happens out there in the sky. Clearing all the misconceptions about astronomy and astrology is one of the prior objects of Prajwal’s presentations. He wants to eradicate the pseudoscience facts.
Ramakant Sarode is maths teacher at Dharmaveer Sambhaji Vidyalay, Aurangabad, Maharastra. His area of expertise includes mathematics teaching and Vedic mathematics. He is also a member of Maharashtra State Bureau of Textbook Production and Curriculum research and has contributed in various mathematics textbooks in Maharashtra state board. He has participated in National Vedic Maths conference held in Vijayvada, AP 2017 and has conducted various workshops on Vedic Mathematics.
VSS Sastry has interest in origami and teaching maths through origami. He has written more than 10 books on mathematics, origami and science, noteworthy being “Origami fun and mathematics” and one on “Vignana Vyanga”.
